2015 Reporting Cities in Real Time

Cities reporting to CDP in 2015 appear in the map below in real time, within 24 hours of their submission to CDP.

The size of the bubble represents the population of each reporting city. Hover over the bubble to view additional

information about the city, as well as a link to its full text CDP response. Last year, more than 200 cities used CDP's

system to report their climate change-related information. How many will report this year?

Total emissions reported by year and region

The chart to the right tracks the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions being reported by cities in 2015. It also shows the total amount reported through the CDP system in the last few years. In 2013, cities reported more than one billion tonnes of emissions for the first time. The chart also shows the regions which contribute the most emissions every year. Note that the number of cities reporting each year from each region can fluctuate.

  

Which countries are leading the way in urban reporting?

The major cities of the world are now reporting--which country's cities lead the way? The chart to the left tracks the total number of cities in each country that are reporting to CDP in 2015. In 2014, USA, Brazil, and Korea topped the list.
